AAA experts share their views on AAA today
Whether spring, summer, fall or winter, AAA travels with you through every season of life. Like many others, my AAA member journey began at the age of 16. The moment I received my driver’s license, my parents handed me a set of car keys and a AAA membership card. While at the time I was convinced I would never need to use AAA, I was quickly proven wrong.
As a young driver, AAA proved to be a safety net as I made the frequent drive up Interstate 71 from college to my hometown of Lexington, Ohio. One flat tire at the side of the highway was all it took for me to appreciate having the membership card in my wallet. Truthfully, the first phone call I made was to my father who, after settling my nerves, told me to call AAA. After heeding his advice, I spoke to a AAA representative who first asked if I was in a safe location and dispatched a driver to me immediately. Nowadays, this story for a young driver would likely sound a little different with the AAA mobile app being used more often to request assistance and monitor the driver’s whereabouts and
time of arrival. But one key fact remains constant – AAA continues to hold the safety of its members to the highest of standards. When I needed help on the roadside, AAA was there to get me quickly back on the road and to my family. Today I am happy to share that not only am I a proud employee of AAA, but I am also a 24-year member!
With winter now here, we need to be on our A-game
in your digital wallet, remember that a AAA membership follows YOU, not your vehicle. That means your membership travels
with you, wherever you may be. Emergency Roadside Assistance and the AAA Discounts & Rewards program, two well-known membership features, only skim the surface of the many benefits and services available to you as a member.

when navigating the slick, icy and snow-covered roads and bridges of Ohio. No driver, or
passenger for that matter, wants to wind
up stranded on the side of the road, but
unfortunately, it happens to most people at one point or another. A flat tire, a dead battery, a gas gauge pointed to empty – all relatively fixable inconveniences that can still leave you stuck on the side of the highway or country road, hoping for help to quickly arrive.
So please, stay safe out there.
I encourage everyone to routinely ensure your vehicles are checked and maintained properly so you may avoid th

do require you to need our assistance, know that AAA strives to get you back on

the go versus a tow. In fact, we’re able to get members back on the road nearly 60% of the time, which is just one of the reasons why AAA roadside assistance beats all major roadside assistance providers in customer satisfaction.
