This year’s theme is “A Shiny
New Christmas.” More than 100 decorated Christmas trees from community organizations will deck the halls of the museum. The Christmas Tree Festival will feature “Evergreen” the talking Christmas Tree and tours of the decorated MacDonell House. There will be daily demonstrations in the Log House as well as activities
in the Children’s Discovery Center. Live entertainment is scheduled throughout each day.

Sleigh bells on horse drawn carriages will ring once again for the 27th Annual Christmas Walk in Hamilton’s Historic German Village. The German Village Association will be celebrating Dec. 2 from noon until 5 p.m. All events are free.
The German Village Historic District was the first historic district established in Hamilton, Ohio, in 1973 and listed on the National Register of Historical Places in 1989. The buildings date from early 1800 to 1900. Construction in the early 1800s was mostly fine Italianate, Eastlake, Gothic Revival and Greek Revival.
Village ambassadors will welcome and assist guests
as they wander through decorated historic homes and businesses in the village. Listen as strolling musicians fill the air with holiday songs, enjoy a carriage ride, visit with Santa and see live reindeer, and purchase crafts, gifts and tasty delights along the way.

A Celtic Christmas: Clash of the Tartans Wadsworth Public Library

Clash of the Tartans is an all-female Celtic and American folk band, putting Celtic twists to popular music and exposing similarities between American and Celtic folk music. Musicians are Julie Williams, flute; Alyssa Schreiber, fiddle; Erica Tompkins, fiddle and bodhran; Elizabeth Crowe, cello and banjo; and Georgeann Tropiano, guitar and vocals.
The Celtic Christmas program will feature music of Ireland, Scotland and England that celebrate the holidays and winter. There will be instrumentals, vocals, as well
as some sing-a-longs to keep you tapping your feet. The end of the program will give you a taste of the Scottish celebration, “Burns Night,” which takes place in January. Reservations are recommended for this free event.
