Finding Ways to Explore Ohio, Safely
 By Matt MacLaren
I have always enjoyed taking Ohio road trips with my family. When I was young, my brother and I would head out with my parents in the minivan to the Cleveland Zoo, for boating near Akron and to Cedar Point for the thrill rides. Now, as a father of two young daughters, history repeats itself. Together, we have found joy in visiting the Columbus Zoo, happiness in staying at Salt Fork Lodge and excitement in swimming at Alum Creek State Park. These annual trips continued for us even this year, although a bit different thanks to COVID-19. We each wear our favorite face coverings, carry hand sanitizer, wash our hands often and social distance. These
added steps put safety first so we can continue making memories that last.
Studies show that many travelers prefer destinations that implement new safety procedures and where social distancing can be easily practiced. Some of the most popular travel spots in Ohio this year include our state parks, bike paths, zipline courses, wineries, lodges
and cabins.
That is why our team at Ohio. Find It Here. compiled several inspirational road trips and trails to explore hidden gems in our state.
