Select Registry Distinguished Inns of North America is a collection of independently owned inns, bed and breakfasts and boutique hotels. Celebrating a milestone birthday of 50 years in 2022, the organization was established in 1972 by travel writer Norman T.
Simpson. He was the recognized authority on country inns of his time and traveled the roads and wrote of the unique inns he visited in an annually published guidebook.
Today, Select Registry continues in the spirit of Simpson with more than 260 member properties throughout the United States, with eight Select Registry properties in Ohio. Ranging from locations in cities and rural towns to winery estates and a Scottish-inspired inn, each property has its own distinct character and has passed the most comprehensive quality inspection in the industry. Guests can be assured that when they “Stay Select,” they will receive consistent quality and comfort at each property.
