AAA experts share their views on AAA today
Since 1902, AAA has rescued millions of motorists at the roadside, repaired and maintained members vehicles and provided safety security and peace of mind to the motoring public.
I’m proud to work for such an iconic brand and am amazed at the work our people perform day in and day out. With winter knocking on Ohio’s door, I’d like to take a few minutes to remind you of some important safety and vehicle maintenance tips.
A little known yet startling statistic is that an average of 24 emergency responders including tow providers are struck and killed by vehicles while working at the roadside each year – meaning someone in this line of work is
killed, on average, every other week. Safety
at the roadside is no small task and we take it seriously. The key to positively impacting this trend lies in giving these men and women
room to work at the roadside. Please – when
you see responders at the roadside – Move Over and Slow Down!
When it comes to requesting roadside assistance,
we offer several options for our members. Our traditional call center at 800-AAA-HELP (800-222-4357) remains our members’ top choice in times of need of help, but many members choose our digital roadside request option either through our AAA app or at AAA.com. These options are quick and easy and
allow us to pinpoint our members’ location through location services.

Recently, we introduced “Insta Quote Plus” on
our website to allow members to order batteries online. During a cold snap, dead or dying batteries account for a large influx of roadside assistance calls. As the temperature drops, so does your battery’s ability to start the engine. Using our online tool, finding the right battery for your vehicle is quick and easy. Just enter your vehicle information, select your battery and choose your delivery method.
We’ll come to you or you can stop and pick it up
at one of our Central Ohio Car Care Plus locations. It’s a seamless experience that brings battery service to your fingertips.
As a final reminder, get your car ready for winter. Proper and routine maintenance of your vehicle will help stave off winter’s ability to inconvenience you with car trouble.
