A Garden of Gratitude to Thank Our Wounded Healers
Ohio contemporary glass artist Terri Albanese has teamed up with Ohio and Kentucky hospitals and their communities to give back to the essential healthcare workers who
have given so selflessly throughout
the COVID-19 pandemic. “A Garden of Gratitude – Thanking Our Wounded Healers and Healing Our Communities” is the first exhibition of its kind to tour hospitals and recognize the courage of our wounded healers. The exhibition opened in March 2022.
Albanese is a passionate and spirited professional artist who recognizes the underlying healing power of art.
A Garden of Gratitude features 18 original glass paintings of vibrant flowers that symbolize the heart and spirit of our hospital workers.

The Dawes Arboretum to Welcome Myth Makers
The Dawes Arboretum in Newark will welcome six monumental sculptures from artists known as The Myth Makers, with the exhibit scheduled to open to the public on May 27. The bamboo birds – some standing more than 20 feet tall – are currently being built for The Dawes Arboretum by Donna Dodson and Andy Moerlein in New Jersey.
Built with bamboo and mixed media, the sculptures, coined “Avian Avatars” by Dodson and Moerlein, will be placed throughout the arboretum and remain until spring 2023. Made from natural materials, the sculptures are site-specific and are meant to slowly disappear into nature throughout
their life.
“The Myth Makers are inspiring artists, and we could not be more thrilled
to welcome their work to the arboretum,” said Luke Messinger, executive director for The Dawes Arboretum.
