Downtown Troy lights up for the holidays during the Hometown Holiday Celebration and Grand Illumination. Children of all ages enjoy visits with Santa in the Santa House, carriage rides, holiday music, hot cocoa and refreshments, shopping at local merchants and, of course, the lighting of the tree.

The annual Winterfair showcases unique, handcrafted jewelry, blown glass, functional ceramics, wearable art, sculpture, painting, photography and more by more than 200 artists from across the country. A gourmet market will offer chocolates, dips and honey, as well as soaps and lotions, by area makers.

Carriage bells on horse-drawn carriages will ring out once again for the 28th Annual Christmas Walk in Hamilton’s historic German Village.
The German Village Association will be celebrating this free family event from noon until 5 p.m.
Listen to strolling musicians in Dickens’ attire, take a carriage ride, and buy roasted nuts and other tasty delights along the way. Tour St. Julie Billiart Church and private residences, plus visit historic buildings and businesses decorated in full Victorian splendor. Purchase crafts and gifts at various locations. Visit with Santa and see live reindeer.
