Five-Diamond Employees Named
The Ohio Auto Club recognizes outstanding employees who demonstrate the values outlined in the club’s Five-Diamond Service Standards. Associates are recognized monthly based on input from various sources, including nominations from peers, feedback from internal and external surveys, and other unsolicited feedback.
Employees can be nominated based on the following service categories:
• Noteworthy Accomplishment • Extraordinary Performance
• Exceptional Leadership
• Problem Resolution
• Innovation
The most recent Five Diamond Employees of the Month include:
Jeff Hudson was named Five Diamond Employee of the Month for August. Jeff is AAA Ohio’s ERS Territory Manager and was recognized in the category of Extraordinary Performance.
Following is one comment received regarding Jeff’s performance: “The Emergency Road
Service department and Motor Club Battery Service ran into a major logistical issue a few weeks ago. During one of the busiest battery service times of the last 5 years, we had no driver to deliver batteries to our facilities across the state. We approached Jeff, as he has a valid commercial driver’s license. Jeff immediately said he was up for the challenge to fill in for our regular route driver.
Jeff received one day of training and then completed deliveries from June 15-26. In addition to his regular club duties, Jeff delivered almost 1,000 batteries across our territory, ensuring that our providers had an adequate supply to assist our members. Jeff never asked what was in it for
him – he saw a problem and realized he could help provide a solution. The fact that Jeff lives in Akron and had to drive to Columbus each day to pick up the delivery truck further shows Jeff’s selflessness and his call to action exemplifies what it means to provide Five Diamond Service.”
Melanie Simmons was named Five Diamond Employee of the Month for September. Melanie is AAA Ohio’s Email Campaign Developer and was recognized in the categories of Extraordinary Performance, Exceptional Leadership and Problem Solving.
The following is a comment received from her supervisor, Lori Warner: “Melanie constantly juggles the email program for all of AAA Ohio’s business lines. As email has become an effective form of marketing to our members, the demand for email and other forms of digital communication are being placed on her. In recent months, our email sends have reached almost 2 million sends per month. In 2019, they were averaging 750,000 a month. Those emails are driving a significant amount of traffic to our website and touching our membership with relevant information. She is
a problem solver and really works to deliver solutions for the club. I am proud to have her as a member of my team and believe she deserves this honor for her dedication, leadership and problem-solving skills in supporting not only our members, but our business lines.”
Andi Allen was named Five Diamond Employee of the Month for October. Andi is a Travel Agent at AAA Ohio’s Westerville store and was recognized in the categories of Noteworthy Accomplishment, Extraordinary Performance, Exceptional Leadership and Innovation.
The following information regarding Andi’s performance was provided by Westerville Sales Manager Curtis Russell: “Andi has done an outstanding job. Volunteering to put together a recent PowerPoint to present a Virtual Escape on the Galapagos Islands, her innovative ideas made for an outstanding event. At the same time, Andi was rebooking a private tour for a family traveling out West. And she will be stepping up again by co-hosting a Destination Showcase to a group of travelers interested in heading to Alaska. Andi’s involvement has given our members the hope that traveling again soon is real. Her leadership and dedication to our members make Andi an amazing candidate for the Five Diamond Employee of the Month.”
