The Ohio Arts Council’s Riffe Gallery, in collaboration with the Ohio Advisory Group of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, presents “Paper Routes: Women to Watch 2020 – Ohio.”
The National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C., is the world’s only museum
solely dedicated to celebrating the creative accomplishments of women. With its collections, exhibitions, programs and online content, NMWA champions women through the arts and advocates for equity. As the exclusive affiliate of the Women’s Museum in Ohio, the Ohio Advisory Group of NMWA extends the mission by showcasing women’s contributions to Ohio’s rich cultural landscape.
Learn about the artists’ creative journeys, processes and inspirations during their educational, live-streamed artist talks. Registration is suggested.

Looking for a fun, outdoor activity to do this fall? How about taking a cruise on the Muskingum River aboard the Lorena Sternwheeler? This Muskingum County treasure travels along the Historic Muskingum River Water Trail, offering a relaxed and pleasant ride through wide waters, passing scenic woodlands.
One-hour public rides will be offered at
2 p.m. Guests are welcome to bring their own refreshments aboard for these cruises. Reservations and advance payments are required for all rides, 48 hours in advance.

“Chihuly Nights”
Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, Columbus

Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens will offer viewings of “Chihuly Nights” from 7 to 10 p.m., allowing guests to see the glass artwork of Dale Chihuly in an entirely new light. All 19 installations are professionally lit to create breath- taking views within the setting of the botanical gardens.
During these evenings, guests also can enjoy “Paul Busse Garden Railway,” a brand-new exhibition.
These viewings come after May’s announcement that the Conservatory’s collection of Chihuly artwork would remain on permanent view. The Conservatory’s pieces represent the most extensive private collection of Chihuly artwork in a botanical garden.
In line with the Conservatory’s new ticketing procedures, guests will be asked to reserve tickets in advance online.
Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens offers educational programs and art, world-class horticulture and nature-based exhibitions for all ages.
Chihuly is an American artist noted for revolutionizing the studio glass movement and elevating perceptions of the glass medium. Known for ambitious architectural installations in cities, museums and gardens worldwide, Chihuly utilizes a variety of media to realize his creative vision, including glass, paint, charcoal, neon, ice and Polyvitro. Chihuly’s work is included in more than 200 museum collections worldwide.
